presume you are somewhat
anxious not having heard
from me in some time
But as I wrote in my
letter to Addie (Pearl, Adaline C.) I have
been very busy escorting
men away. I returned this
morning from a trip to
N. York (New York) (New York) . I left here last
Tuesday morning, had a
very pleasant time. And
expect to start fo (for)  Washington (Washington, District of Columbia)
either this after noon (afternoon) or
tomorrow morning. As they
send as many away Sundays
as any other day

My health is very good
much better than it was
when I wrote to Addie (Pearl, Adaline C.)
I am going to express two
or three Gov Blankets to you as
soon as I get time. I more
than I need and they will
make good horse blankets
They are blankets deserters
have left behind I have five
or six good shirts three or
four pair of drawers and
socks that I have confiscated
the same way.
I recd a letter with yours
from John Foote (Foote, John) I will
send it with this. And
Father you read it first
then do as you please
about letting the rest
read it. He isnt [genarly] generally
