                                                            and sisters in law

I recived (received) the box that you sent
me this morning with the grates (greatest)
plesure (pleasure) ever thing came as nise (nice) as
you could wish for except one
bottle that was broke and that soak
all up in the cakes every thing
was all wet with the liker (liquor) but that
did not hurt it a bit I was glad
to get it the same feller (fellow) that
gave me some of his box is
hear (here) with me to night and
he is eating some of your suff (stuff) with
me now but we think that we
will go to our rigment (regiment)  next monday morning but you must
not think hard of me for I think

so all go and see John (Stannard, John C.) and
Charles (Stannard, Charles) befour (before) I go to my
rigment (regiment) I will get all
the letters that you right (write)
